Sustain has launched an online toolkit 'Planning Food Cities' to help communities use the planning system to support community food growing. The toolkit aims to demystify planning so that more community food growers get involved in plan making.
Visit: http://www.sustainweb.org/planning
The toolkit follows publication of 'Planning sustainable cities for community food growing' which has guidance for planners on writing planning policies.
For the first time, this guide brings together in one place examples of planning policies around the UK that support community food growing.
Recommendations for advancing the health and sustainability of Sandwell's food system through engaging local government, businesses and community partners.
