We are delighted to extend to you a warm invitation to our special Refugee Week Celebration to be held in partnership with the City of Sydney – Different Pasts, Shared Future.
Hosted by Julia Baird, ABC The Drum, speakers include author Thomas Keneally, social researcher Hugh Mackay, artist Wendy Sharpe, Amnesty International’s Refugee Spokesperson Graham Thom and the Principal of Holroyd High School, Dorothy Hoddinott.
Asylum seeker Gerald Magala Mukiibi and refugee Prosper Gateretse will share with us their stories and we will be entertained by singer songwriter Miriam Lieberman.
The event will take place on Thursday 18th June 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm at Lower Town Hall opposite QVB.
The evening will be an opportunity to celebrate the incredible contribution refugees and asylum seekers are making to our communities. We hope you can join us on the night.
