I've started the petition "Hon Peter Dutton Minister Immigration and Border Protection: Stop sending refugees back to danger zones" and need your help to get it off the ground.
Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here's the link:
Here's why it's important:

We petition the Minister, that no person should be sent back to a country which uses mass shootings and serious violence as their means of social and political control.. We also petition the Minister that if on a reasonable assessment will be face a high probability of harm on their return, they should not be sent back.
We are appealing to you to review the case of Jean Pierre Gahungu who has been denied a Protection Visa and has until 20 October to stay in Australia. We hold very grave concerns for his well being if returned to Burundi. Our request to review his case is based on the following:
• The fact of his ethnicity, which is a Tutsi places him at risk for persecution and violence.
• The fact that he previously worked for the government and is well known to them. It is also well known by them that he did not return from Australia. It is impossible for him to quietly return to Burundi.
• The act of deporting him places him directly in the hands of the government. The very people he ran away from.
• Even if he was able to run away the borders are now closed and it would be difficult to escape as others have done in the past.
• The situation in Burundi is dire and there is ample evidence to support the instability and daily use of violence as a means of enforcing social control.
This is highlighted by recent reports of police entering a compound in the capital and shooting a cameraman and a random number of villagers.
