Retail Leases Act review 2013
HAVE YOUR SAY
Small retailers and landlords are major contributors to the communities and the economy of NSW. They help make our communities dynamic and vibrant places to live and through the employment they generate, they help to make them sustainable. It is with this in mind that the Office of the Small Business Commissioner is conducting a review of the Retail Leases Act 1994.
We would like to hear from you
The aim of the review is to support small businesses by:
1. encouraging the development of a level playing field in retail leasing;
2. reducing the cost of doing business; and
3. cutting red tape.
Most importantly, we aim to make it easier for small retailers to get into their shops and start doing business.
On 22 November 2013, the Minister for Small Business launched the discussion paper for the review and invited stakeholders and the public to make comment and share their ideas.
There are a number of different ways to make a submission. You can complete an online survey, which takes about 10 minutes, you can make a written submission by email, or in writing to:

Please note, all written submission will be published on the Office of the Small Business Commissioner’s website, unless you request otherwise.
