A white paper review into agricultural competitiveness in Australia is being led by Barnaby Joyce and is calling for submissions before 5pm April 17th.

The purpose of this white paper is to examine the economic contribution of agriculture in Australia and come up with strategies for improving this by consulting with key stakeholders and the community.The major issues under consideration are:
• food security
• improving farm gate returns, including drought management
• access to finance
• competitiveness through the value chain
• regional communities
• inputs along the supply chain
• reducing inefficient regulation
• enhancing agricultural exports
• effectiveness of incentives for investment and job creation.
