Hi all

Over the coming months we have some events not to be missed starting with the next InterPlay themes afetrnoon on family and tehn Good Samaritan Sister on Mary Magdalene. See details below, on attached flyer and on the website.

Thanks
Fr Peter

The next faithworks event is on July 12 - InterPlay with Peter Maher - theme: Family - who is my family - natural, church, human, bended?  Family is, at its best, a place of nurture. Where are we nurtured and how? What family groups do I belong to? What gifts and support do they offer and do I offer them? Who, why and how do I include/exclude from my places of nurture?  Sunday July 12,  3-5pm

Then on August 2 at 4pm - a great scripture scholar and educator - Catherine McCahill -speaking on Mary of Magdala - Sinner? Prostitute? Disciple? Apostle? What does the New Testament actually say?  An exploration of our understanding of Mary of Magdala as presented in the Gospels. We will consider interpretations of this female disciple and apostle.

"The other" is no longer a brother or sister to be loved, but simply someone who disturbs my life and my comfort… In this globalized world, we have fallen into globalized indifference.  We have become used to the suffering of others: it doesn’t affect me; it doesn’t concern me; it’s none of my business!  (Pope Francis)
