SVdP Social Justice Forum Sydney

posted Jun 29, 2015, 3:07 PM by Sean Donovan   [ updated Jun 29, 2015, 3:08 PM ]

The 2015 Social Justice forum is going to be
practical, interactive, stimulating and focused on
local actions. You don’t have to be a Social Justice
Rep to come – all members from our state, central
and regional councils are invited.

Since last year’s forum you have visited MP’s,
organised events and raised your voice. Your
actions captured the State Government’s attention
– and secured their commitment to a $1 Billion
Affordable Housing Fund.

Now is the time to come together to make sure
these commitments become a reality.

Date: Saturday, 18 July 2015
Time: 9:00am – 3:45pm
Venue: Mercure Hotel, Sydney
818 - 820 George Street (next to Central Station)
Grand Central Room

This year we will offer a choice of
workshops so that you can choose the
way you want to speak up and take action
in your local community.

You will also:
• Hear from Peter Primrose, Shadow
Minister for Local Government and former
Campbelltown City Mayor
• Help shape the Society’s 2015 Affordable
Housing Campaign
• Be inspired by leaders who have had great
success in grass roots advocacy
• Come together to decide what you want to
do in your own community

LUNCH, MORNING TEA AND POST EVENT
DRINKS WILL BE OFFERED TO ALL
ATTENDEES.

Please RSVP by Monday, 13 July 2015
Email social.justice@vinnies.org.au or

Seating is limited so reserve your
seats early!

We would like to acknowledge the generous
in-kind support of the Mercure Hotel, Sydney.
