Dear friends of faithworks@newtown
We are very excited about our special guests in the conversation series in 2015 beginning with The Synod - will women and other voices be heard? Marilyn Hatton, a theologian on women in the church and much involved in the international reform movement in the Catholic church. She will be just back from Ireland where she attended a meeting of Catholic Priests’ Associations and Reform Groups who called on bishops to “courageously and publicly” support the vision and programme of Pope Francis for the church. Marilyn will open up a discussion on the voice of women as well as other silenced voices in the church particularly divorced and remarried and GLBTIQ people
